Dr Seth, provides holistic child and adolescent psychiatry assessment and treatment for general emotional and behavioural disorders:
Following the assessment, psychoeducation and a detailed report will be sent to you and your child's GP with the formulation, diagnosis and management plan. This is usually completed within 3 weeks but there could be exceptions for e.g. further information awaited from school, clinician's leave etc.
Please note: We do not offer an emergency service. We do not see children/young people with serious suicidal thoughts or eating disorder or severe psychotic symptoms. These children are better treated in the NHS, where there is access to admission if needed. We also do not offer Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis as this is best offered in a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) setting (as per NICE guidelines)
If you already have a diagnosis from another provider.
We welcome new patients who already have a diagnosis from another provider, whether in the UK or abroad If you have been diagnosed by our trusted partners, then we do not need to re-review, and we can proceed to management, if appropriate.
We will request you provide your details and send your assessment documents. These can also be sent directly by trusted partners.
We may need to contact you either via phone or video link if we need to clarify any information. If you do not have any documentation, or if the documentation is insufficient, then a full Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Assessment will be required.
